In case you weren’t aware, WRBH recently “hired” a new employee – but not your typical employee – this one walks on 4 legs and is covered in grey fur! Yes, we have embraced the trend and now have a five-year old office cat named Mac. His full name, McClean, comes from the founder of WRBH, Dr. Robert McClean. We adopted him from the SPCA after his owner surrendered him. He is so grateful to be part of the WRBH family that he spends his days ensuring that the upstairs remains rodent and insect free.
Our latest employee is somewhat of an elusive creature but makes his presence felt. The minute he hears my voice in the morning he begins “talking” to me as if to say, “Why did you leave me alone for so long, human?” He then gracefully leaps onto my desk (carefully avoiding all the important documents and wires) and nicely asks for his hindquarters to be scratched.
After our morning routine, Mac finds a spot in the sun to do what cats do best– he falls asleep.
And then attacks a plastic bag or two.
And then hides in his box.
And then stretches a bit.
Finally he gets up and wait for Kacie to arrive as, much to my chagrin, he prefers her office to mine. So, next time you are at WRBH come up the stairs and say hello to Mac. He may even say hello back!
